Vikram lander located on Lunar surface, says ISRO chief

The Chandrayaan-2s Vikram module has been located on the Lunar surface and it must have been a hard-landing, ISRO chairman K Sivan said on Sunday, in an admission that the planned soft-landing wasn't successful.

"Yes, we have located the lander on the Lunar surface. It must have been a hard-landing," Sivan said.
Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Chief, K Sivan to ANI:We've found the location of #VikramLander on lunar surface&orbiter has clicked a thermal image of Lander. But there is no communication yet. We are trying to have contact. It will be communicated soon.

Washington, Oct 25 (IANS) NASA's Parker Solar Probe, enroute to the Sun to unravel its mysteries, has captured a view of Earth, from about 27 million miles away, the US space agency said.The image was captured by the WISPR (Wide-field Imager for Solar Probe) instrument, the only imaging instrument on board the Parker Solar Probe.On September 25, the Parker Solar Probe captured a view of Earth as it sped toward the first Venus gravity assist of the mission, NASA said in a statement on Wednesday. Apple to Launch New iPads, MacBook and Mac mini on October 30

Apple Inc. said it will hold a product announcement October 30 in Brooklyn, New York, likely to unveil new iPads and Mac computers. The invitation to media reads, “There’s more in the making,” without specifying what would be introduced. The Cupertino, California-based technology giant is planning the biggest revamp to the iPad Pro since it first went on sale in 2015, as well as a lower-cost MacBook laptop and a new Mac mini desktop, Bloomberg News reported earlier this year. Apple Inc declared on Friday that it has fixed a privacy glitch in the video chat application and it was planning to remove bugs in the software. It all happened over reports of software bugs appeared. A teenager and his mother had tried very long to inform Apple, of the bug. The problem was discovered by 14-year-old Grant Thompson, who, along with his mother, Michele, tried to report the glitch to the iPhone maker but said they struggled to get the company's attention until the problem gained traction on social media. "The thing that shocked me was that this glitch happened in the first place," said Grant Thompson, a high school freshman in Tucson, Arizona. "I'm only 14 and I found it incidentally, instead of the people at Apple that are paid to find problems."
